Building on the recent award of medals, by Gilbert magazine & Gaillard, to Catalan wineries, Sommelier Gourmet analyzes the quality variables of these cellers who have seduced the French jury.

Basically the quality variables would be:
– Number of Sommelier Gourmet points (sum of points per medal )
– Number of medals obtained
– Composition of varietals (with sum 100%), used in award-winning wines

Given the great diversity of styles and varietals of the D.O.. Catalan, it has been done

– Three varietals from the D.O., Merlot-Sumoll-Sauvignon already represent the 61%
– In state. there is 2 Merlot monovarietals and 1 of sumoll awards
